Family Channel Set to Premiere Grizzy and the Lemmings in March 5th at 6:40am and 8:30am (UPDATED)

Family Channel has set to premiere a brand new series from France's Studio Hari called Grizzy and the Lemmings in March 5th at 6:40am and 8:30am (airs 2 new episodes every weekday on these times) and repeats at 11:30am and 3:00pm. It was originally set to premiere around January or February, but it got delayed, the channel sometimes subject to change for newer programming. But finally this show premieres this Monday. The show had their Canadian premiere on OTA French channel Télé-Québec back in December 2016.

Show info:
The forest ranger's house is the only area of human civilization in the middle of untamed wilderness in a vast natural reserve in Canada. When the ranger is away, a bear named Grizzy feels that the ranger's house is his territory, given that bears sit at the top of the food chain. After making his way inside the home, Grizzy takes advantage of all the modern conveniences there, including a comfortable sofa, air conditioning and fully equipped kitchen. He's not alone, though, because a group of small creatures called lemmings also populate the ranger's house when he is away. Because Grizzy and the lemmings are not civilized enough to live together in peace, it becomes an atmosphere of madness when the two sides try to outdo each other with tricks.

Update (3/19/2018): Family Jr. is also airing this show in March 24th. This is not the first time airing this show on a preschool channel, Cartoonito Italy aired this show as well. This show will be available on The Family Channel App and FamilyGo.ca in April.

DHX Media is reporting that the second season of Supernoobs are acquiring to Family Channel. The first season has been commission to Teletoon.

Article from DHX says:

Hit DHX Media original series to air on Turner’s Cartoon Network channels in EMEA and Asia Pacific, and on DHX Television’s Family Channel in Canada

Halifax, NS – 11 January 2018 – DHX Media (or the “Company”) (TSX: DHX.A, DHX.B; NASDAQ: DHXM), a leading global children’s content and brands company, announced today that a second season of its hit animated comedy series, Supernoobs has been exclusively licensed by Turner’s Cartoon Networks in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and in Asia Pacific. The 26-episode order, which has been greenlit by DHX Television’s Family Channel in Canada, is produced by DHX Media’s Vancouver animation studio.

“The global momentum continues for Supernoobs with a second ‘supercharged’ season, as characters Kevin, Tyler, Shope, and ‘the Roach’ get up to more crazy adventures,” said Josh Scherba, EVP, Content and Distribution. “Kids worldwide can’t get enough of this hilarious DHX Media original series, and Turner’s Cartoon Network as well as our own Family Channel are the perfect broadcast outlets to deliver a new season of thrills to them.”

These newly announced broadcast deals come on the heels of a recently announced agreement with Hulu, which saw the digital service take exclusive SVOD and FVOD rights for season one of Supernoobs in the U.S. The deals highlight the continued global demand for DHX Media original content across linear and digital services.

In season two of Supernoobs (26×22’), it’s more super chillin’, more super villains and more super battle ball action, as the Supernoobs begin to master their powers! Noob training is almost complete, and the superhero team is ready to take on Count Venamus and the Creators with a new attitude, new powers and all new episodes! But it won’t be easy: The Creators have stepped up their game since realizing Earth may be hiding a secret ancient weapon that could wipe out the space virus. Count Venamus and his new super-tough Mech-Army are ready to destroy the hidden Earth power – and the Supernoobs – unless they can defeat him first.

Aimed at kids aged six to 11, Supernoobs is created by Scott Fellows, who is also behind another DHX Media hit, Johnny Test.

Make sure to watch Season 1 re-runs of Supernoobs on Teletoon every weekday at 9:50am and 10:15am.
